Chrysler Repair: 2005 Chrysler 300 instrument cluster, 2005 chrysler 300, chrysler 300 touring

QUESTION: I have a 2005 Chrysler 300 touring and the gas gauge does not respond.  The low fuel light does come on.  The dealer told me I had fault coads and need a new cluster at $1100.  How do I remove it and can I find a reconditioned or have mine repaired cheaper?  Thank you so much for your advice.

ANSWER: I dont think there are reconditioned clusters out there yet.
Dont swap one around either  the computer in the cluster is vin coded so if u swap one around with out your vin and setup  U will cause all sorta issues.

QUESTION: Can I send mine in to get repaired at a shop and is it easy to remove?

Answer
The only way I know of is to send to through Chrysler because we send it to a company that works for us in programing the clusters and stuff in CA. I doubt they will let u send one to them  more then likely u will haft to buy one and give them your old one.
