QUESTION: all the warning lights came on and all the gauges went to zero. my son says that he was driving the car then all the warning lights came on, the gauges went to zero and then they all went completely out. however he was still able to drive the car and then they came back on.
AnswerI would begin by checking fuses # 1, 7, 14 inside the dash. Remove the end cap on the very left end of the dash (open the driver's door) to gain access.
Remove each fuse and inspect for a subtle crack which might cause this kind of intermittent. Other than that, the ground point would need to be checked (left side of the center console at the base of it), and finally an issue with the digital data communication connection plug to the dash from the body computer would be suspect.
