Chrysler Repair: Grand Voyager 2.5 TDI 1994 Manual, electronic control unit, powertrain control

Question
Can you help me locate the wiring configuration for the 60 pin plug of the electronic control unit for the above vehicle. I am having great problems with the electrics after having to remove the aftersales immobiliser. Thank you very much

Answer
Hi Philip,
The D in TDI must mean a diesel engine, and unfortunately that one is not covered in any of the US manuals. However, I would believe that there is some similarity between it and the gasoline powertrain control modules. The problem with the factory anti-theft system in these mid-90's and -on vehicles is that the function is integrated into the body computer which then communicates with the powertrain controller to kill the engine after a few seconds of running. Now your aftersales unit may be different. If you can give me some of the history of the malfunction and of how your immobiliser was wired into your unit, then I can probably identify what the function was that it was wired into at the controller, based upon consistency between the pin assignments that seem to hold across the different engines.
