Chrysler Repair: oil in radiator?, cylinder head bolts, head gasket leak

Question
why would there be oil in the radiator

Answer
Hi Raoul,
The reason is likely a head gasket leak which allows the crossover of fluids between the oil passageway and the coolant passageway in some specific location of the cylinder head. You probably also have coolant in the oil (brown froth). If you don't see any change in the function of the engine (such as bubbling in the coolant system, missing, or white smoke out the exhaust pipe when you start the engine from cold) then there is a chance that it may be a leak that would be sealed by re-torqueing the cylinder head bolts.
You would loosen them in the reverse order from tightening by one step from the full torque level, and then retorque them to the final torque level in the normal tightening sequence. I have done that with some success in the past under such a situation. If however there is a leak between the combustion chamber and those passageways (the symptoms I listed above would show that to be the case) it is more likely that the gasket is damaged and tightening will not do it. Let me know the engine just in case there is something more specific I can tell you.
