Chrysler Repair: 1990 New Yorker, windshield wiper arm, windshild

i dont know if you know this but i have the older style 1990 new yorker. any how, after unscrewing the tilt steering arm i was able to get the plastic collour off, now i took the 2 bolts (star) off the windshild wiper arm and took it off then i uncoupled the plug in. were is the ignition switch?  i also unscrewed the (2 star screws also) other side were you put the key in. its all apart i just dont know were the ignition switch is or what it looks like........HELP!!!!!   thanks.....Jim

Hi Jim,
I don't understand what the windshield wiper arm is of which you speak. All the manual says to remove is the lever that when you pull it allows the column to be adjusted up or down. The steering column covers I speak of are the panels that are on top of the column and under the column (just behind the steering wheel). Those covers are hiding the switch which is directly connected to the igniton lock cylinder. That is how it is shown in the manual. The screws are accessible from underneath the column.
