Chrysler Repair: 93 Daytona brakes: Caliper wont release, calliper, rubber hose

Question
The front brakes are staying on. When I took them apart the passenger side piston barely moved. I heard the rubber lines going from the steel brake line to the calliper sometimes can clog. Would this stop the caliper from working correctly or is the caliper seized?

Answer
Hi Scott,
Yes if the rubber hose interior passageway begins to breakdown it can have resistance to the backflow of fluid which of course is not powered as would be the inflow to the caliper from the booster, so in effect the caliper once activated will have difficulty in releasing. So it would be reasonable to replace the rubber hose on that side, at least. It it still hangs up, then the caliper would be suspect. But start with the hose.
