Chrysler Repair: 1996 Concorde LXI radiator fan removal, concorde lxi, upper radiator hose

Question
The fan started to make noises. I think the motor's bushings are dirty and in need of lubrication. Can you give me instructions on how to remove the fan? Once I have it out I think I can figure out how to service it.
Thanks.

Answer
It is easier to remove the fans and shroud if you first disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator. Then it is also more convenient to remove the cross member that goes across the top of the radiator (2 bolts at each end, and even better also remove the latch mechanism 2 bolts) and get it out of the way. There are 4 screws (and clips) on the sides of the shroud that should be removed, and 2 clips on the top of the shroud that should then be removed. At that point the shroud and fans will come out of the car. Also disconnect the plug at the rfi module in the middle of the assembly, after disconnecting the - clamp of the battery to remove any voltage that might short to ground.
