Chrysler Repair: 2001 Sebring Convertible, power steering pump, pivot bolt

Question
Hi, I have a 2001 sebring convertible (front wheel drive)and I need to change the serpentine belt, i can see that it is cracked.  It is on the left side if you are facing the vehicle.  I can see it but cannot get to it.  It is under a couple of hoses and other items. Is there a way to change this without having to pay the dealership to replace it.  I did purchase a new belt thinking that it would be an easy fix.  Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.  This car has been a very good car.  I had to have a sensor on the transmission replaced 9 months ago, when all of a sudden the car stopped shifting, while I was driving. In addition, believe it or not I just replaced the battery 2 months shy of its seventh birthday.  I pulled up to the post office and when I got back in the car, the battery was completely dead.  No lights, no warning. This almost 7 year old car has been a treat.  Is there anything else that I should replace before it goes out?  Thanks again for your time. ....Wendy

Answer
2.7L
AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR/GENERATOR BELT
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Remove right front wheel and belt splash shield.
Loosen tensioner locking bolt and pivot bolt.
Rotate tensioner clockwise to allow enough slack to remove belt.
POWER STEERING PUMP BELT
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Remove right front wheel and belt splash shield.
Remove the air conditioning compressor/generator belt.
Loosen belt adjusting bolt. It is not necessary to loosen the pivot bolt on the power steering pump. There is a bushing incorporated into the power steering pump/bracket that allows it to pivot.
Remove power steering belt.
