Chrysler Repair: Overhead Console: 02 van, fuse block, fuse box

Question
I have a 2002 Chrysler T&C LXI, The overhead console does not display the reading for temp, direction, and etc. The side map and reading lights work. It was working ok then it started working on and off for a few days, then not at all. I checked the fuse block under the hood, all was ok, nothing else is a problem. This all started when the key stuck in the off position and I couldn't free it without turning the steering wheel, if this what caused it, I wanted to mention it to you.

Answer
Hi Bud,
The immediate fuse that powers the overhead console electronics is actually located in the fuse box that is under the dash on the driver's side. If you can't find it easily by looking under the lower edge of the dash near the left end, then remove the under steering column panel that runs across to the sidewall (remove screws at sidewall, then clips that retain it under the column, I believe). In my '98 shop manual it is shown as fuse #6 (20 amp.). The data for the module arrives on a single digital wire (however a pair of wires bring the ambient temp reading). The ground for the circuit is on the right side cowl panel, near the floor. So check those items to see which if any is faulty. I can't be certain about the fuse assignment # because my most recent wiring diagrams are from '98.
