Chrysler Repair: fuel level sensor circuit low voltage, fuel level sensor, fuel tank level

Question
I recently got an error code after my fuel guage started to go crazy saying my tank was full then empty then full then empty on a road trip the other day.now my check engin light is on and my fuel light comes on and off as the guage reads full then empty over and over again.the fault code is indicating low voltage for the fuel level sensor.is there a way for me to check the electrical conn. for this unit at the tank or something else I can do myself to avoid taking it to a shop? is there a diagram of the electrical system somewhere that i can use to locate the problem and how to get to the wiring. where is the location of the problematic wiring and how do i get to it. under seats, trunk, floor? i have 2005 gt convert.

Answer
sounds like a fuel tank level unit.
