Chrysler Repair: p0753/p1765, dodge trucks, dodge durango

Question
QUESTION: My sisters 2000 dodge durango 5.9 4x4 will not go into gears 1&4(OD) it will go into 2nd only if I shift it manually reverse and 3rd are no problem. Fluid was low (2quarts) adding fluid to the right level didn't help. It has codes p0753 and p1765 which indicate a shift solenoid and relay circuit are there things that I should check before dropping the pan and changing the solenoid? are there any special instructions for testing/changing the solenoid? and where is that relay?

ANSWER: I have no reference to a 753 code  it must be generic  and not for dodge trucks  did u get it from a general scanner  or shop one?

QUESTION: p0753 and p1765 are the codes that the vehicle gave me in the odometer. You work for dodge and don't know what their codes mean?

Answer
what I said was  U got generic codes   there is a huge list of 1500 codes that the federal government made sure that they were standard on all make and model cars and trucks  now just because u got a code from some scanner does not mean that  that is the real code for your car. There is not a listing for a p0753 code for your dodge druango. Its a tranny code  and inorder to get the correct code for what u need to fix it  U will need to have the tranny computer scanned for that code thats in there.
