Chrysler Repair: body control module removal, LH body vehices, fuse block, remote keyless entry

Question
I have a 2000 intrepid 2.7 auto trans.Where do I find the body control module?

Answer
Hi Hans,
The body control module is attached to (and behind) the fuse block on the driver's side of the cabin instrument panel. To get to it for removal you have to remove the unit as a whole and then separate the halves.
1.Disconnect the negative battery post.
2 Remove the instrument panel left end cap
3.Remove 2 screw from left lower instrument panel cover (outside end). Pull rearward on lower i.p. cover to release clips.
4.Remove deck lid (trunk) release switch wiring, and remove the panel cover.
5.Remove the wiring connectors from the fuse box and body control module
Remove three screws that retain the fuse box/module in place
6. Pull the fuse box/module straight down from the mounting bayonet.
Disconnect the the bcm wire connectors and the remote keyless entry antenna wire connector.
Remove the box/module from the vehicle.
Separate the box/module by removing the 4 screws.
That should do it. Assembly is the reverse.
