Question
93 Chrysler Concorde sometimes wont start, battery good, all lights and radio come on, plenty of gas, securely in park. no clicking sound, no noise at all when key pushed to ignition position, when car is rocked back and forth or side to start it usually starts up fine as if nothing happened. frequency increasing

Answer
Hi Melissa,
I would suggest that when this happens you have helper try to start it while you listen for a click to come from the starter motor relay located in the rectangular electrical box under the hood near the battery. Remove the lid and listen to the relays at the front of the box. When then key is tried the starter relay should click. If it doesn't then the ignition switch may be faulty, but also try the same thing and move the gear shift slightly off-center from Park on both sides to see whether that might cause the click and the starter to then work. If neither, then I would check the ignition switch and its wiring with a voltmeter. Let me know if you need that direction. If it clicks and the starter solenoid doesn't click loudly then it is wither the battery wire to the starter solenoid, the battery clamps, or the starter motor itself, and those can be checked. So that is a "start" on this problem.
