Chrysler Repair: 93 dodge daytona EGR valve location., egr valve, dodge daytona

Question
I am trying to replace the EGR valve on a '93 Daytona, 3.0
Liter 6-cylinder. I am having stalling problems and have
bought this part, but am unable to locate where on the
engine it is located. I know it should be between the
intake and exhaust manifolds but do not see it. Thank You.

Answer
Hi Dan,
If you have the manual transmission it could well be that you don't have an egr. Look on the underhood sticker to see if one is shown as part of the vacuum hose diagram. That is how it was in '94. Otherwise you probably have one. If so, look at the exhaust cross over pipe from the cylinder bank on the front of car and after the flange that connects it to the rear bank exhaust pipe connector tube you should see a port on that crossover at the rear corner of the engine and the egr attached thereto. It has a small exhaust pipe that is routed to the intake manifold, and also above it is a vacuum transducer that controls the vacuum to egr. If you see no such flange as you follow the crossover pipe all the way to the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter then you don't have it.
Please let me know what you find.
