Chrysler Repair: 96 sebring - no start, crank sensor, loose pin

Question
Roland,

I have a 96 Sebring convertible with the 2.5 V6.  I have been have a no start problem with it.  I can drive it all day, and then I shut it off, and it will not restart at all.  I replaced the distributor in June because it was bad.  I then drove until mid-october and it started stalling on the freeway and then not starting after it had been shut off.  I replaced the distributor two more times (warrantied the distibutor).  When I put the first warranty distributor in, it started right up and drove for about a day.  Then went back to a no start.  I replaced the distributor again but it still would not start.  I started digging a little deeper and found that I was losing my voltage reference to my distributor and my crank sensor.  So I replaced the engine computer.  That seemed to cure it, for a day.  I then started looking into the wiring, on the main engine harness, I found a loose pin where it connects to my computer.  I tightened it up, and it worked just fine.  I put around 60 miles on it including multiple shut offs and restarts.  I thought that I had cured it.  Then this morning, it goes back to a no start.  I am at the end of my rope here, can you give me any insight or any ideas on what I need to check next?

Also, I am not getting any check engine codes out of the car at all.  I have identified that I have fuel, just no spark when it goes into this no start condition.  Please help me!

Answer
Hi Kyle,
Can you describe what you mean by a "loose pin where it connects to my computer"? Maybe we can figure out what the connection of that pin is and work around it. When you get a positive response to a problem, which then fails again, I would believe that the pin connection is the problem. On the codes, are you getting a 55 code? or no action at all on the check engine light?
