Chrysler Repair: 1986 New Yorker 2.2L turbo: is one injector bad?, spark plug wire, head gasket

Question
I have replaced the head gasket and the timing belt. The timing is on and the car runs with a sputtering noise out the exhaust, and runs rough.  Number 3 cylinder has spark but doesn't affect the affect the engine when you pull the spark plug wire. Plug looks dry. Is this a fuel injector problem or wiring. How do you test injectors for proper operation?

Answer
With engine idling try listening to each injector with an auto stethoscope to see if #3 is clicking like the other three or not. If you don't have a stethoscope, place the tip of a screwdriver on each injector and listen to sound that might be transmitted to the handle of the screwdriver. I think you would do well to compare the resistances of the four injectors to see if #3 has a significantly different ohm reading. Then you could also buy a test light called a "noid light" and use it to see if the plug-in for the injector is receiving pulses or not. Finally you can use jumpers to manually apply a voltage pulse momentarily to the injector and listen for the solenoid click sound. But because you are using a higher voltage than is usual it has to be done quickly.
Those are some suggestions for you to try.
