Chrysler Repair: SHIFT SOLENOID LOCALIZATION: transaxle, dodge grand caravan, solenoid pack

Question
Dea Sir, I have a Dodge grand caravan 1999, please, could you tell me where is the shift solenid is located in the authomatic transmission?

Answer
Hi Marcos,
There are 4 shift solenoids and they are all located together in the large rectangular box on the side of the transmission that faces the front of the van. You have to remove the input turbine speed sensor located directly above the box, then remove the electrical plug and finally the main cover of the box. The large item that you will see then is the solenoid pack/assembly. Three screws hold it in place and there are several gaskets to notice. When installing, tighten the three screws to 12 N-M or 105 inch-pounds.
