Chrysler Repair: 1990 Chrysler Imperial ATC, exterior temperature sensor/compass., postal mail, chrysler imperial

Question
The ATC in my Imperial reads out in Celsius, despite the fact that everything else is in US measurements, I have pressed both "US/M" buttons, and neither changes the ATC readout.  I also cannot get air to come out of the panel vents when panel is turned on.  All that it does is move air to the floor, and partially to the defroster.  Floor and defroster work just fine.  The A/C button also works fine.  I am wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this or if I need a new one.
Also the display above the mirror, when I press the button that displays the temperature and Compass, both are horribly amiss.  The temperature constantly reads 130-131 degrees and the compass is almost exactly backwards.  What can be done for the compass, and do I need to replace the temperature sensor that the display uses, and where would that be at should I need to replace it.

Answer
Hi Riley,
Those several questions are complex and lengthy for answering in detail. My suggestion would be that I copy about 16 pages from the '90 shop manual covering the ATC and overhead console and send them to you by postal mail. It would cost me the equivalent of six 41 cent stamps to do this and I would be pleased to send you the pages first and then you can send me back the stamps after you receive them. If that is of interest to you, let me know a postal mailing address by using the "thank and rate" tab where there is a space for text (comment).
