Chrysler Repair: 93 Chrysler T&C Cruise Control, power steering pump, blown fuse

Question
Recently the power steering pump was noisy and leaking.  Repair was done, removing and replacing the steering gear, including adjusting toe-in on Rack & Pinion type gears and replacing the tie rod ends.

The cruise control stopped working after this. Mechanic says what he did should have nothing to do with the cruise control not working.  Any thoughts or info on what could be the problem.

Answer
Hi Bruce,
I don't see any connection between those two systems, except that they are physically located in the engine compartment where a connection may have been inadvertantly disturbed. So I would suggest that you check the following possibilities, in order:
blown fuse (#14 or 19), no vacuum at servo, speed control cable disconnected at throttle body, brake lamp switch is riding in the "closed" position, faulty cruise electrical circuit (I have the wiring diagram and could copy and postal mail it to you), park/neutral switch connection to powertrain controller, defective cruise servo, and fault in powertrain controller proper.
I suspect you will find the reason for the problem.
