Chrysler Repair: Air Conditioning, jeep grand cherokee, compressor cycle

Question
QUESTION: AC clutch constantly runs.  It does not cycle like it should.  Just had the system serviced.  Also, wondering if this could be the problem why my temperature runs higher than normal with the AC on?  Could it be the cycling switch or a pressure switch?

ANSWER: what kinda car are we talking about?

QUESTION: 1996 Jeep grand cherokee 4.0 inline 6  115,000 mi.

ANSWER: do u have an issue with the ac not working  or are u just wonder if it cycles like it should? HOw high is high  and what is your outside temp?

QUESTION: My Jeep will run hotter than usual, with the AC on, when outside temp is 95 and up.  The temp will get up to 145 then it will go to the max, setting off the check engine light, a min. later it will reset back to 145.  I've replaced everyting with the cooling system.  The only thing I've noticed is the AC compressor will constantly run with the temp set at 80c and the outside temp is below 90.  Should the AC compressor cycle or should it constantly run? I just had it the AC system serviced, but it was doing this before the AC system got serviced. My Jeep will only run high temps if the AC is on.  It's never done this before.  I believe the AC compressor constantly being on and not cycling, is causing my Jeep to run hotter than usual.  I've just replaced the cycling switch and the high pressure switch on the AC system.  Any clues?

Answer
possible locked up fan clutch and not flowing air when required. May also be low flow in the radiator and can not handle the extra heat made from the ac system. WHat is the check engine light code?I live in the Atlanta area if u would like I can look at this for you.
