QUESTION: If yo don't know what I'm talking about you shouldn't be here answering questions. You better get a service manual and start reading it. By the way, can you tell me how is called the thing with blades located inside the alternator attached to the rotor?

Answer
I do know what I am talking about  do u love in the UK or something where they put a fan blade on pulleys?? If so  they dont do that over here in the US  because  well there is no need to cool off a pulley. I dont think u are looking at the alternator   the alternator is the item on the passenger side the foremost to the front of the motor with the belt. It also what charges up the battery and runs power for the van   so  with that info  are we still talking about the same thing???  PS  what engine are we talking about as well??   3.3  3.8 2.4 3.5?  OOO  man  I just looked up the tool u were asking  about what u are looking at is the decoupler the little black thing at the end of the alternator. It not a fan its like a bearing that helps keep noise down. I dont think u can get the tool to replace just that we get them from a special place that only sells that to dealers. U would be looking at getting a whole new generator from Chrysler.
