Chrysler Repair: 2002 Intrepid 2.7L:Thermostat location, radiator hoses, thermostat installation

Question
QUESTION: Where is the thermostat and do i have to have a special tool for the clamps how do i replace it?

ANSWER: Hi Kyle,
You didn't mention which engine you have (2.7 or 3.2L). Each is different, but both have the thermostat located on the lower left side of the engine near the front. Follow the lower radiator or heater hoses to find it. Let me know which engine you have and I'll type in a step-by-step procedure for your use. Send a follow-up with that information.

Intall housing and thermostat to cylinder block. Thighten bolts to 105 inch-pounds

That is the procedure. I don't believe that special clamps are involved.
