Chrysler Repair: ignition lock?, chrysler sebring jxi, chrysler sebring

I have a '98 Chrysler Sebring JXI Convertible. Runs fine so far but today couldn't turn key to start car. We used info from the manual, turned steering wheel but still couldn't turn the key.  My daughter fiddled with the automatic shifter, jiggled steering wheel and key and got it started. It has done this 4 times already. What could this be?

sounds like the key cly needs to be replaced happens quite often. if it happens again hit the key with something as u turn it. The new key cly will have all the stuff to rebuild it but the key ways that are in the old one. U will transfer the old key ways to the new one but done ge tehm out of order or the key will not work ne more.
