Answer
Hi Galo,
I don't claim expertise about the imported engines, but I wonder you might get a handle on this by trying for fault codes by turning the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave it on" doing this in 5 seconds or less elapsed time.
Then watch the check engine light to begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number flashes before each pause. Then repeat for accuracy. The group them in pairs in the order of appearance to form two-digit fault codes. Let me know if this works with your import or not, please. If the codes seem to be the same as domestic Chrysler products I can give you some ideas as to what else might be the cause. Tell me which engine type you have there.
Another maintenance you might want to try is to clean off the throttle body butterfly plate on both sides, and the throat, and the air passageway to the idle air control tip. If there is crud on any of these surfaces it can cause a flaky idle.
You might also check that the EGR valve stem is moving in and out freely by means of the slot in the stem, and lubricate it where it enters the valve body if it seems to be sticky.
