Chrysler Repair: 2002 LE Chrysler Sebring: getting codes, chrysler sebring, failure code

Question
Sear Roland

It's me again. I asked my Chrysler representative to give me the failure code and he said it is 0000, which seems to me not to be a real failure code (indeed, my doubt is that there's actually a code like that !) So I asked them to send that information by email to me so as to have a back-up for further legal action. I think they're trying to make me buy the PCM. Reading in internet I found that my car shows error codes in the odometer. And I remember so ! When I was trying to start it (with no success) the odometer showed a code preceded by a "P" and four numbers that I did not wrote down (damn !) but I'm sure it was not "0000". I'm now going to the Chrysler representative and write down the numbers that the odometer shows. I'll write back with that number. I think they're cheating me.
Best regards and thanks a lot !

Answer
Hi Roberto,
Yes, do the readout again. If by chance there are no codes, then just try to start it again. If the battery is connected and the starter motor will work it should set a new code when it won't start. The codes will erase whenever the battery is disconnected for a few minutes, but they are recognized amd set once again after the battery is reconnected and something goes wrong.
I'll be interested in what you learn. Also please tell me the body type (convertible or sedan).
