Chrysler Repair: 2000 T&C Digital Thermometer reads OC, temperature thermometer, digital thermometer

The digital thermometer that displays the external temperature on our 2000 T&C Limited started fluctuating, going from 20F to -38F. Then one day it just started displaying OC and has stayed there since. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike,
The temperature thermometer sensor is under the van behind the front bumper fascia attached to the radiator closure panel lower edge by a screw. It has two wires: violet/green and black/light blue. When the circuit is "open" it will read OC. Probably it was bumped accidentally and damaged or it is unplugged, or you could check the wires for continuity to pins 5 and 2, respectively, of the overhead console plug. One of those checks should reveal what is wrong.
