Chrysler Repair: 93 MINIVAN BRAKES:excessive effort required, power brake booster, vacuum hose

Question
I HAVE A 93 MINIVAN AND THE BRAKE PETAL IS VERY HARD TO PUSH AND HAVE NO BRAKES, BUT AFTER ABOUT 5 MINS THE PETAL RETURN SOFT AND SO FORWARD, COULD THIS BE MY BOOSTER, I LOOK AT THE MASTER CYC. AND IT SAID HIGH PRESSURE LINES SO I LEFT A LONG, HOW TO REPAIR, OR REPLACE.

Answer
Hi Steven,
I would begin with the vacuum hose to the power brake booster which may have a cracked hose or loose clamp at either end, between the booster and the intake manifold. There are some other possibilities but this is the first thing to verify. Let me know if that isn't the problem and I can give you some other ideas.
