Chrysler Repair: power sliding doors on 2001 T&C, door latch, o2 sensors

Question
I have a 2001 (sometimes 2002 depending on what I need, such as O2 sensors)with dual sliding doors.  The drivers side slider will open all the way and snap to open.  After doing what is needed and pressing one of the 3 switches to operate, the door will start to close and then almost like a spring dis-engaging stop after about 2 inches.  I have replaced the door latch.  It worked 5-6 times and now back to the way it was.  I have taken the IOD fuse out and both the BCM fuses hoping it would relearn itself.  No help.  The door takes a little effort to work manually, as if it is "stiff". Any ideas on what my problem may be.

Answer
Hi Gary,
Unfortunately I have no experience whatsoever with power sliding doors. As explained in my statement of expertise I make no claims for post-2000 models. About the only thing I can offer to you are 8 pages about the sliding door designs of that model year which were not yet provided with the power option so they might not mechanically be identical to your power doors. Other than purchasing a corporate service manual for your year, I can't recommend any other reference source. So let me know if you think the pages from the '98 manual might help you as regards that "stiff" aspect of the problem. I would xerox and postal mail them to your postal address if you will tell me it.
