Chrysler Repair: 1995 Cirrus Trans problem: code 41, solenoid pack, john weldon

Question
Hi Roland,
First time using this site. I have researched this car for many hours trying to fix my tranny.
I have a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus with a 2.5 V6, 41TE 4 speed automatic. I bought the car with a bad transmission, as diagnosed by a mechanic. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to look into it any further and bought a used transmission (5000 miles). It was supposedly rebuilt last June. However, after installing the transmission, it went into Limp-in-mode code 41 after about 15 minutes of driving. This was the same symptom as the original transmission (code unknown). Thinking this was my cars wiring causing this, I removed transmission harness and removed all tape to thoroughly inspect for damage. Made some minor repairs reinstalled, Limp-in-mode again. Took to local transmission mechanic. The only code to read was P041, solenoid circuit error. He recommended new solenoid pack. I installed only to have transmission go into Limp-in-mode once again. Still, code 41 only.
I cleaned all connections with electric contact cleaner, replaced TCM with one from junk yard. Drove for two days until Limp-in mode appeard again.
Replaced EATX relay, battery, checked all ground connections, Input/Output speed sensors and connectors on harness. Still, Limp-in-mode.
Took car to Chrysler dealer. Found only code 41. Checked CVI's etc. and found transmission to be OK internally, cleared codes. Could not duplicate error within 15 minutes. Recommended new wiring harness or valve body.
Any other ideas?
I know this is long. Thanks for any insight before I throw more money into this thing.

Answer
Hi John,
It sounds like you have been very thorough and systematic with this problem. The 41 is pointing the to LR solenoid. The possible causes according to the manual are:
malfunction of pressure switch assembly,
harness or connector between LR solenoid and EATX controller open or shorted,
PCM ground open circuited, or
malfunction of ETAX controller.
The code is set if the solenoid continuity test fails for the second time, or a speed data of pressure switch problem AND a solenoid continuity test failed for the first time.
I have the wiring diagrams for the trans if you need to verify specific pinouts. The LR solenoid is on pin 20 at the controller and pin 7 at the trans solenoid box (light blue/white wire). That wire goes thru a black 10-pin disconnect between the two units, on pin 6.
If you can't find a problem with the wire I am not certain what to do beyond what you have done already.
Let me know if you solve it, please.
