Chrysler Repair: Installing timing belt on 2.5L V-6, chrysler sebring coupe, camshaft sprockets

Question
I am in the process of installing a timing belt on a 99 chrysler sebring coupe with a 2.5 L V6.  How and where can I find the index marks on all three shafts to double check my timing?  What positions should they be in?

Answer
Hi Chad,
There is a timing mark on the inner circle of the crankshaft sprocket and when it is aligned with the mark on the oil pump housing then the marks on each of the camshaft sprockets should be aligned with the marks on the rear surfaces of their timing belt covers.
Do you have the step-by-step procedure for how to do this? If not, I can either type it in, or xerox and postal mail you a copy of the pages. It is detailed, so it won't likely happen unless you follow the specific procedure. Did you retension the tensioner in a vice and hold it in place with a pin? Then you have to go thru 9 steps to get it right. Let me know by using the thank/rate tab and use the comment section to tell me what you know or need to know.
