Chrysler Repair: 96 Sebring 2.4l cam belt adjuster, belt tensioners, document scanner

Question
Hi. I bought a 96 with 92000km on it recently. I have inherited all of the apparrent probs wit hthis car. We had to replace the blown headgasket and in doing so found the cam tensionerwas defective as well.Apparrently i have one of those March 96 mechanical cam belt tensioners that fail. So Chrysler sells an upgrade tensioner for this, but nobody knows how to adjust the new style mechanical belt tensioner.

Do you know the install proceedure and adjustment sequence specs for the replacement style cam belt tensioner

Thanx in advance for your time and help

Answer
Hi Robert,
I hadn't taken a look at the 2.4L timing tensioner issue until you asked. I now have compared the '96 vs '98 shop manuals and see what you mean. The procedure is complicated enough and has drawings such that without a document scanner the only way to get this info to you is for me to xerox copy and postal mail it to you. I can do that tomorrow. If you will drop me a response via the "thank and rate" tab where there is a section for comments, stating there where I should mial them, then I can do that. I hope this is soon enough for your time constraints.
