Answer
Hi Latonya,
The most useful thing to do is ask the engine controller computer whether it has noticed any malfunctions. You may be able to do this via the ignition key: turn it "on-off-on-off-on and leave it on" doing that within an elapsed time of 5 seconds or less. Then watch the odometer window of the speedometer to see if it changes to read one or more 4-digit numbers. Let me know if you do get such a reading and we can go from there. If you can't get any readout, then you have to get it read out with a plug in reader that fits in a socket under the dash to the right of the steering wheel. If you can get it started somehow, you can often get a free readout at an Autozone parts store, and if not then at a shop which may do it for around $40. Let me know the numbers and also tell me if you have the 2.7 or 3.2L size engine.
I can only suggest that you might want to borrow a battery charger for now because that may be part of the no start problem. If you want to test something, I would remove one of the spark plug wire caps and using an old/spare spark plug put it into the cap and then, with the help of a friend who will try the starter, hold the threaded shell of the plug against a metal surface of the engine while the friend turns the key to see if you get a spark jumping across the gap of the plug. That would be of diagnostic help.
So let me know what you learn from the readout effort or spark test.
