Chrysler Repair: no electric door locks, mirrors, courtesy lights or radio, electric door locks, amp fuse

Question
I replaced an aftermarket radio in my wife's 1998 Plymouth breeze with one that was made for the car and I followed the wiring diagram supplied with the radio now the courtesy lights, electric locks, electric  mirrors, door open chimes or radio have power I have checked the fuses in the fuse box in the interior and all of them  look good. I have done some research on the net  and some of my research said something about an IOD and a BCM where are these located and would disconnecting the battery reset the computer long enough to see if there is power going to these circuts any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Dean,
All those units that are not working are indeed powered in one way or another by the ignition off draw fuse (IOD). I believe you will find that to be 10 amp fuse #5 in the junction box under the dash (I am working with the '96 manual so I could be wrong on the #).  Check to see if it might either be blown or have a crack which makes it appear ok though it isn't conducting. The radio draws on that fuse on a pink/tan wire at pin 7 of its gray plug, and also a pink/violet wire of the power antenna if you have one. So my suggestion would be to review the connections of those specific wires that involved the radio substitution to see if they are wrongly attached or inappropriately assigned at the radio. I don't have the installation instructions to review, of course. But I think this may move you in the right direction.
