Chrysler Repair: 2000 JXI Sebring Convertible instrument cluster lights not working., lt side, convertible instrument

Question
All lights in the cluster except the odometer are out. All other HVAC lights are okay. Fuses are okay. What is the light source and how can I get the cluster out to inspect. Got a little way and stopped. Any methodology you would follow to diagnose cause of the problem? Thanks

Answer
I would suspect the wiring to the cluster since the other lights work. The cluster has the normal little bulbs in it.So all of them to go out at once would be rare.On that car it is a little involved to get to the cluster.Start by taking the bezel off that goes around the radio then the screws behind it.Take the end cap off the lt side of the dash, there is a screw behind that.Take the knee bolster out. There a couple of screws behind that. Then that whole piece unclips from the top of the dash.If you have a compass that will need to be unplugged. Then there is 4 screws for the cluster and you will need a wiring diagram to check the connectors. But first double check all of your fuses with a test light.Inside and outside.
