QuestionHi! I am driving a '90 LeBaron and he's been having some issues with his headlights. Yes, I call my car a "him". His headlights sometimes just go out when I'm driving. They would go out and the parking lights would just come on.
It's not consistent, but it happens enough to annoy me and make me feel very unsafe on the road that I try to limit my driving to day hours. But, I have to work in the evenings as well.
I have driven an hour away at night without so much as a flicker and then just today I drove not even a mile and the lights went out. Sometimes, they would go out when I use a turn signal. Or sometimes that would turn them on again. Sometimes I would have to turn the high beams on to get them to work, but then sometimes it doesn't.
I have had to just hold the headlight button down while driving, but even then, sometimes they'd still just go out.
Is there anything you van tell me?
AnswerI take it you have the hood type instrument cluster with the switches built into it.If so, well then that needs new switches.There was a lot problems with those when they were a few years old.But they aren't on the road out here anymore.Hope you can find the new parts.
