Chrysler Repair: 1991 new yorker heater, motor noise, dash board

Question
Hello.
I am getting air, but it doesn't blow out any heat. All the hoses up front are not leaking and such. I had some one tell me it could be a door problem, and that I'd have to have the entire dash board dismantled to fix the problem. I also heard that it could be a simple problem from a faulty ignition switch (?).
I don't know who to beleive, and I'd like to know what I should look for before I take it in for repair.
Thanks for your time.

Answer
I believe your temp selector is not a cable type. I've recently answered this question. It sounds like you have bad blend air door actuator/motor.Doesn't require complete dash disassembly. First get inside your car roll the windows up,turn the key on.And move the temp selector back and forth slowly.See if you hear a little motor noise. If you don't,its likely you need the motor. If you do,Well then you might have a broken door, and then it gets a little more involved. At most to repair the problem the right lower side of the  dash has to come out.
