Chrysler Repair: 97 Dodge Dakota running rich - raw fuel in exhaust, dodge dakota sport, faulty sensor

Question
I've got a 97 Dodge Dakota sport V6 3.9L.  Last week it started running very bad and smoking a dark smoke...closer examination showed it was leaving a puddle of gasoline under the vehicle.  After checking it out, I noticed the gas was coming from the joints in the exhaust pipe...I checked the spark plugs but they didn't look unusual aside from normal wear.  Fuel pressure is perfect.  I've checked all of the sensors I know that affect the fuel mix ratio and can't seem to find a faulty sensor or wire.  Injectors are good.  Replaced rotor/distributor as had some corrosion - plug wires are fine.  Also checked wiring running to the sensors.  Am not 100% sure I checked all available sensors...could it be a problem inside the engine?Help please.

Answer
After I made sure there wasn't any trouble codes stored I would do a compression test. From what you are saying you may have a burnt valve or a leaky fuel injector. But both would give tell tale signs on the spark plugs.Check for codes!!!! It may be as simple as a 02 sensor
