Chrysler Repair: 1995 Cirrus-Codes 12,22,23,33,44,55, Low Speed fan On, no temp gage, crankshaft sensor, chrysler cirrus

Question
1995 Chrysler Cirrus got a new Crankshaft Sensor from local mechanic who gave it back to us running [it was dead when we gave it to him,..it wouldn't start]. He suggested that there was water in the gas tank as it kept dying and we paid him his money and left. Gas dryer helped a little but the car won't idle and bucks on the freeway and often dies.. My brother, the owner, gave it to me to look at as one shop had recommended that he leave it for the salvage yard. I am getting codes 12,22,23,33,44, using key method and the battery light [+/-]on the dash, and the temperature gage will not come off the low peg. The low speed fan kicks on at startup and kicks off if I unplug the ECT sensor. The IAT sensor checked good at the parts store. EGR is free and operating. I unplugged computer for an hour and checked it just prior to starting the car and the same error codes came up when they should have been cleared..What to do?

Answer
If I remember my 2 digit codes properly(when you use a scanner you get 4 digit p codes)12 is no cam sense.Which is normal if the engine isn't running. And 55 is the end of the test.If this is a 2.5 the crank sensor is real hard to get to and if its old it makes it even harder because its siezed. Some guys may remove the radiator hose and maybe even the water outlet to get to it.So you may air in the cooling system or just low coolant.best thing to do is get a scanner on it and see exactly what codes are stored. And quit disconnecting the engine controller. That won't fix anything.
