Chrysler Repair: 96 van turns over but no spark?, oxygen sensors, neon glow

Question
hi i have a 1996 plymouth voager with a 4cly it has 180,000 miles . i cannot get any spark to all 4 cly. i replaced the ignition coil on engine but no luck. no spark. do you have any ideas. if the  timing belt is broken  should i still get a spark ? or could it be  the engine computer. it ran fine no signs next day will just turn over no spark. plz help.

Answer
Hi Dustin,
None of the codes (12, 21, 37) would cause a no spark. !2  says the battery was disconnected recently, 21 says one of the oxygen sensors is not responding, and 37 may be a phantom or not but it deals with the torque converter lock-up clutch which depends on the transmission type that you have.
Did You inspect the timing belt?
You haven't told me which engine is in the van. Because there are 4 different possibilities it would be helpful to know.
It is possible that the autoshutdown relay or its circuits aren't working, or that the sensors are not working, even though there should be a code for that.
I am concerned that you are getting three 21 code readouts. So take a look at that readout count again. The numbers should appear in numerical order, so 21 should readout after 12 and before 37 and it should only appear once.
Write back the same way and tell me more. There are more test you can do with a simple 12V neon glow lamp. If you don't have one it would be helpful to get one at an autoparts store. So let me know what electrical test tool(s) you have.
