Chrysler Repair: Chrysler AC Control Head trouble, chrysler concorde lxi, 1999 chrysler concorde lxi

Question
Hi Wil,
I have a 1999 Chrysler Concorde LXI and I have a problem with my AC Control Head, when I start the vehicle it automatically switches from Auto to Manual.
I took it to a tech at a repair shop and he said that there was a intermittant short in the Control head and it loses it memory.
Have you ever heard of something like this before and is there a way I can fix it without replacing it?
Would reseting the Control Heads computer help fix the problem?
Is there a computer reset on it where I can reset it myself?
Any help you can give me would be great,
Thank you and I am hoping to hear from you soon,
I am sincerely,

Daniel

Answer
When it comes to the new design lh vehicles I don't think there is a way to reset them with the use of a drb3 (mopar scan tool)You used to be able to up to 97.I can make sure when I go to work tomorrow,if I remember. You can try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes.

I double checked today and resetting the control head is only possible with the drb3.But still I would try the battery disconnect. You easily do this by removing the remote ground cable from the stud on the left strut tower.15 mm nut.
