Chrysler Repair: 98 Grand Voyager, lt side, blinking buttons

Question
Hi!

The lights on the buttons for my rear window washer and wiper are blinking constantly.  The lights for rear defroster, air conditioner and others won't even come on although they appear to work.  What might be the problem?

Additional background:
Tonight my radio temporary cut out when my automatic door locks activated as I was leaving work.  Then 8 minutes later my ABS light came on followed a few secconds later by the voltage light.  I arrived at my destination a minute or so later and when I left there I cleaned the battery contacts.  The car seemed dead when I first turned the key but then came to life after a few seconds.  Initially no lights were on but the ABS light came on after about 15 seconds but no voltage light.  Thinking battery I went to my friendly neighborhood big chain automotive place known for batteries.  The battery charged fine and they said alternator was fine too (although they still suspect alternator or electrical -- not just dirty contacts) and suggested I go to dealer.  When I left the lights were blinking as described above.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!
Nancy

Answer
I have a 98 grand caravan that i drive back and forth to work. The instrument cluster stuff is currently happening to me.(occasionally)But it keeps running so I haven't looked at it.But I suspect the body controller or a body ground at the left side of the center stack. You would need to remove the bin to see them. The blinking buttons at wanting you to recalibrate the hvac control head.start the car put the fan on high mode on defrost and push and hold the top and bottom buttons on the lt side until the blinking pattern changes then release them.Let it go through its self test. When it finishes either those 2 same buttons will flash meaning there is a problem and a code needs to be retrieved or only 1 button is flashing and goes away when you push it.
