Chrysler Repair: backflushing engine, heater hoses, outlet pipes

Question
1996 seabring coupe-6 cyl-2.5 ltr--I found the two heater hoses going to core--flush kits is used in INLET hose--how can I tell which of the two is the inlet?

Answer
Hi Larry,
The heater inlet and outlet pipes run side by side between the heater core connections at the fire wall and the water manifold at the rear of the engine. The inlet pipe to the heater core has a couple of 90 degree bends in it, while the outlet pipe from the core is straight. You can verify: the inlet pipe is hotter than the outlet pipe when the water is being circulated by the water pump and the heater is on full hot setting and the blower is on high.
Let me know if this is not a clear description.
