Question
i'm removing the engine on a friends car i've removed plenty of engines in my day, but i can't get the engine seperated from the tranny. i took all the bolts out including the four bolts on the flywheel i lifted the engine hoist slowly trying to work the engine away from the tranny but they wont come apart is there something that i'm missing and that i should check for? the car is a chrysler new yorker 5th ave i'm not sure of the year but if i had to guess late 80 early 90 the boxy kind. it's the first chrysler i've done

Answer
Hi Tony,
Tell me which engine you are removing, and also I presume this is a front wheel drive with the engine transverse, correct? I have the '89 shop manual that lists the steps for removal but it depends upon the engine. Use the thank and rate tab to respond and I will get your 'comment' that way and write you back tomorrow morning as I am a bit under the weather now so have to go to bed. The 10th place of the VIN is the year, and K=1989 and goes forward alphabetically excect that O is not used for '93, rather that is P.
