Chrysler Repair: 99 300m interior lights, headlamp switch, latch

Question
I have a 99 300m and I have a problem with my interior lights because they don't turn off I checked everything from the fuses to the lights and nothing, do you know what is the problem?

Answer
Hi Adrian,
The two ways to activate the lights are by the headlamp switch and by opening a door. I suspect that one of the switches at one of the four doors that senses when you have opened the door is out of adjustment or the door is not being retained firmly enough by the latch so that it is interpreted as being ajar. So check out the switches which may be at either the hinge area of the post area where the latch is located and try pushing in firmly on the door when it is latched and then try both of the switches when you have the door actually open to see if you can get the lights to go off, doing this at all 4 doors till you find the faulty one. Let me know if this doesn't reveal a problem and we can get into the details of checking the wires at the body control module to see if that is getting the correct info from the doors or whether the module might be at fault.
