Chrysler Repair: fuel pump remove/install and location on gas tank, chrysler new yorker, gas tank

I have a 1988 chrysler new yorker and I am not sure which one is the fuel pump is it on the right or left side of the gas tank.

Hi Robert,
The fuel pump is the larger diameter opening on the left. It has a two wire connector (gray/dark green black). You may have to lower the tank some to remove it. If you do, don't forget to remove the four screws at the filler neck/fender opening joint. Don't overtighten the O-ring fastener and use a new seal. Tap gently with a drift, and tap counterclockwise to remove fastener.
