Chrysler Repair: 1999 300m, blown fuse, mirriors

Question
Both mirriors on my 300m aredead . I checked the conectors and fuses ,still no power too the mirrors. Could it be the selector switch? Am I missing somthing?

Answer
Hi Roy,
I don't have the wiring diagrams specifically for you year/model but as I review the system in the earlier LH series vehicles it appears to me that you might do well to check for whether 12V is getting to the control switch for the mirrors on the pink wire. That is what would run the mirror motors. You should be able to lift out the switch from its escutheon using a soft stick under the edge. The black wire on the switch should also be verified to be grounded to the body at a shiney metal surface. Let me know if you don't have power or a ground. Otherwise you might try spraying some contact cleaner into the interior of the switch in the area of the L/R selector. You might want to verify that power is actually getting across the fuse you believe is assigned to the mirror motor because a fuse can fail due to a subtle crack which isn't obviously a blown fuse.
