Chrysler Repair: ABS Module on 00 Concorde: multiple problems?, blown fuse, conductive wire

Question
I have a 00 Concorde, the ABS light, brake light, air bag light and oil lights are on.  In addition the power windows do not work, the turn signals and the air condition/heating unit.  The dealer is telling me I need a ABS module to fix all these problems, but it does not make sense to me?  Est. cost is $700 plus labor.  Please help!

Answer
Hi Dannil,
That is as far-fetched as I ever have heard. There is no way the the ABS module alone can cause these multiple problems. In fact the ABS light will come on just because the power to that system is missing. That is why I would suspect that some key fuse(s) are blown either in the power distribution center under the hood or the fuse junction box under the dash. Only fuses serve such multiple systems and thus are the prime suspects. I would systematically visualy inspect all the fuses to see if you can find any that are blown or have subtle cracks in their internal conductive wire, make a note of which, and then if you have an ohmmeter see what the resistance reading to ground (-post of the battery) reads for each blown fuse socket on the pin that is "cold" (i.e. doesn't have 12V on it when the ignition is "on"). That way you can begin to find out what is really going on.
Write me back with your results. I have the wiring diagrams for the Concorde of '94 but I am not so familiar with the history of the LH-body cars to know whether your 2000 is essentially identical in its wiring to the earlier model. If you have had occasion to compare the wiring box under the hood and under the dash with earlier versions of the car and find them similar then I can contemplate pointing toward which fuses, etc. might be bad. If on the other hand your Concorde is way different from the '94 then I'm unable to offer specific suggestions for lack of manual. Please also tell me about the manner in which each specific system in non-functional so I might sort out the specific reason for each.
