Chrysler Repair: 95 Cirrus Tranny sticks in 2nd gear, error code 41, speed sensors

Question
He there, I have a 95 Cirrus that will stick in 2nd gear on occasion.  Then if I shut it off it is fine and shifts very nice.  It has 177K miles on it.  I get error code 41, which when I look it up doesn't help me.  All i know is it is electrical.  Got any quick suggestions I can try to fix it? I am poor and about the only way it can be done is if I do it.

Answer
Code 41 is related to the charging system so I doubt it's related to your shifting problem.  It's something that needs to get addressed but not immediately.

The quick fixes for around $50.00 will be replacing two sensors on the transmission called input and output speed sensors.

Unfortunately, it's not a sure thing, you may waste $50.00 and if it's not them the repair costs will START at $250.00 and could reach $2,000.

There's another person (female) who asked about these same sensors (even on the same kind of car) and I gave her detailed instructions.  You'll need to check some of my previous responses for that info.

Ballin' on a budget, that's where I'd start.
