Chrysler Repair: spark plug change in concorde 99, chrysler concorde lxi, chrysler concorde

Chrysler Concorde LXI 1999 3.2L engine.
Where Are the spark plugs located ?
Are there located on the top of the engine ?
How do I change them ?
Do I need platinum plug such as Bosch +4 ?

Hi Michael,
I haven't personal experience with that engine, but the plugs appear to be on the top of the engine in the 6 cavities on either side of the intake manifold. The trick appears to be that the spark plug wire connecting caps each have a spark coil built into it (called a coil on plug connector) so the caps are a lot larger and square. I don't know if they pull off the plug in the traditional manner but you could look for any other disconnector and if seeing none try to pull off gently. I don't know about the Bosch + 4 but you can see what type came with the car, and then see if there is a Bosch for your purpose. I have no argument with the +4's. You might want to buy a Haynes manual for the car, which I have found to be good for the amateur mechanic.
