Chrysler Repair: Price to replace Air Conditioner Condenser, air conditioner condenser, condensers

What is the price of a replacement air condition condenser and ensuing repair for a 2001 Town and Country LXi.  They are telling me $800.  If that's what it is, that's what it is, but it seems awfully high to me.

Why not get a second estimate?
I looked at one of the parts & labor manuals which showed that condensers run around $250 and that the labor involved might run around 4 hours which covers r & r of the condenser and that the refigerant needs to be removed, stored, and replaced and the the system tested for leaks. So I could see you getting a lower price than $800. You might find a better price by trying an independent AC shop if your first estimate came from a dealer.
